WELCOME
The vision of the Panama City Centennial Committee is to create a magnificent celebration reflecting the diversity and uniqueness of our city. Our mission is to honor the past, celebrate the present and imagine the future. We wish to achieve this mission by finding a variety of ways to recall the rise of a small town to its current stature and commemorating the individual nature of Panama City and its citizens. We hope to educate, inform and enlighten in our quest to fulfill our mission. We wish to create large and small celebrations to acknowledge Panama City’s 100th birthday and a lasting legacy across the City – in neighborhoods, parks, resort hotels and in the hearts of residents, merchants and visitors alike.
Calling all Panama City Artists...
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Panama City, the Centennial Committee is producing a 2009 Calendar. We would like each month to be represented by an original piece of artwork by a local artist. Click HERE for the specifications and guidelines.

"On Saint Andrews Bay"
is a waltz written by Susie Kelly Dean in 1927 and the music was by C. J. Bryan and it was published in Panama City, Florida at the Bryan-Dean Music Pub. Co.
Susie Kelly married Thomas Percy Dean at the First Methodist Church May 5, 1917 (located at that time at the corner of 4th Street and Magnolia Avenue). It was the general consensus that this was the first church wedding in Panama City as well as the first wedding in the Methodist Church.
We are excited to have located the music to this beautiful song and plan to use it as an official song for the 100th birthday of Panama City (1909-2009).
On August 27, 2007 this song was recorded at Studio 812 recording studios.
