CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE
Working groups have been established by the Committee to reach into the community
for partners to develop a task force to accomplish the goals of each working group. Each group shall create meaningful events and projects that reflect the mission and philosophy of the Centennial.
- Educational Working Group
Janice Lucas, chair
The educational working group is established to represent education in Panama City, including public and private schools K-12, home schooling, museums and higher education through programs, curriculum and events.
- Community Working Group
Jennifer Jones, chair
The Community working group is established to represent the community in Panama City through non-profits, diversity and faith-based groups.
- Special Events Working Group
Dutch Sanger, chair
The Special Events working group is established to identify, plan and produce large special events that are reflective of our community and the tourism industry.
- Tourism & Marketing Working Group
Bettina Mead, chair
The Tourism & Marketing working group is established to represent the perspective of the tourism industry and promote the Centennial locally, regionally, nationally and worldwide.
- Historical Working Group
Marlene Womack and Bob Hurst, chair
The Historical working group is established to accurately represent and preserve the history of Panama City through a reliance on historic preservation, legacy projects and fact checking.
- Cultural Working Group
Stacey Fontaine - chair
The Cultural working group is established to represent Panama City’s cultural community, both historic and contemporary, through programs, events and legacy projects.
